At SoL, we believe in the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence and compassion for all living things). Over the years, we’ve come to deeply understand the transformative power of compassion and the bond between humans, animals, and nature. Through empathy and kindness, we create a space of love, kindness, and compassion. Where we recognize our shared vulnerabilities and struggles, as well as our strengths and shared aliveness, opening our hearts to healing and growth. Set back and tucked in the woods, SoL is a welcoming, safe space, for all. Where all humans and animals are honored, and free to be their authentic selves, without judgment or fear. Where we are gentle and respectful with each other, the Earth, and ourselves. Embodying the principle of Ahimsa nurtures us in many ways.
Acts of kindness and compassion have been shown to reduce stress, release hormones that promote well-being, and bring peace to the heart. The energy we offer is reciprocal and often reflected back to us, strengthening bonds and deepening connections.
Being in nature; feeling the Earth under your feet, the sun on your face or listening to the birds has a profound healing effect. It lowers stress, boosts mood, enhances immunity, and increases clarity and creativity. When we are kind to and connect with the natural world, it nurtures us in return, offering a sense of peace and grounding that supports our well-being.
